One of the most notable pieces of equipment in the lab is a pulsed EPR instrument, with a liquid helium tank for cryogenic operation.

The Angerhofer research group also collaborates with the National High Magnetic Field Laboratory (NHMFL) in Tallahassee. The group utilizes their high-field EPR instruments for experiments that require higher spectral resolution or for samples with transition metal ions that display a large zero field splitting.
